ive been thinking about buying a wakeskate to fool around with but i wasnt sure if you could get up from starting in the water. i dont really have a dock or anything to start from so is it possible do do a deep water start like you can with a wakeboard? thanks for the help.

you do it pretty much the same way as a wakeboard. you put the board up to your feet and sit in the water like you would a wakeboard. you tell the driver to go to idol and when the boat slowly starts going the water will push the board to your feet. tell the driver to go and you get up just like a wakeboard

its a lot easier if you have a good driver too. the driver needs to be able to put enough tension on the line so the board stays to four feet but not so tight that it starts pulling you up.

Thats the hardest part, keeping the board on your feet before you actually get up.

You definetly should, if you wakeboard, the starts will be a lot easier for you.

Thats not cool, ive been up enough on a skate to know that its similar enough to wakeboarding that it helps if you have wakeboarded before. I kinda started to focus more on wakeboarding rather than wakeskating near the end of summer.

Wow. Aren't we a little defensive. I had just heard through the grapevine to the contrary. I was told it was not more than twice. But if you say a whopping ten times I will take your word for it.

There's no doubt that getting up on a wakeskate is harding than a wakeboard, because of the added balance and support you get from a wakeboard. But it really depends on the driver, and after a while it ain't nothing.
