Been bored so I threw together a pair of videos. 1st one is me...1st day of riding in '07. The 2nd one is my friend Joel, it was one of his first runs of the year too. We are both still a little rusty. Laughing

Pretty sweet videos, what kind of board does Joel ride?

You should try a tantrum, bet you would stick it easy if you haven't already.

colefooter, Thanks. Joel is riding the new Marius Platinum. He loves it. His brother and dad swear by it too. They all have one.

I tried a couple (maybe 5) tantrums last year with no luck. Definetely want to try them again this year but I have a few things on the agenda before them. (5s, crows, r2r, etc.)

Nice footage man! That wake was looking nicer for your friend than when you were riding... if you had that same shaped wake you'd def be able to land a tantrum!

haha i like the videos dude. i hope to become as good as that. i thought it was really funny when joel did the w2w in (1:41). He looked like a statue.

but the video gave me goosebumps because i'm in the process of buying my first board and can't wait for my 3rd season.

wakeboardcamp, 2 different boats. Haha. I was riding behind my 05 VLX with stock 1250 lbs, no wedge, 3 people. He was riding an 02 X-30 with 2500 lbs of ballast and 2 people in the boat. His wake is usually better than mine, but when we have 8 people or more in my boat its better (especially when we get the wedge put back on).

Craig-R, Ah I think you are exactly right! Ill have to turn off widescreen mode on the cam. Thanks.

Atrain, yea him and his brother get so much vertical pop. Im jealous too. You dont even notice how high it really is until you pause it and realize every w2w jump is like 6ft in the air when mine are like 4. Laughing About the crow mobe, he can definetely get it. That was one of his weaker attempts, he stuck a couple early last year. Hes also started hitting dum dums last fall. Shocked Dont think hes got those back this year yet. As I said, we are both still rusty.

Rhawn, thanks. It was pretty chilly in my vid but last weekend riding with Joel it was great! Air was 75 and water was 50-55ish. He said he was hot in his fullsuit and I was definetely hot in my dry. Definetely shoulda used the shorty. Funny story about the bass boats. That day of riding in my video, I was setting up for a double up and a bass boat was fed up with us darn wakeboarders disturbing his fishin and did 2 donuts around us before speeding off. He screwed up my double up but I still thought it was pretty hilarious. Laughing
