so buck and i went out friday just the two of us for a little riding. there had been so much rain lately up north, we were confined to a little slough because of all the crap drifting around in the river....
so being that we dont have much room, we have to turn around a lot so we decide if you gotta turn around....why not swing a double up?
so he swings me one, and we had tried them very seldomly, but thsui time, i watched the roller in front of the boat, instead of trying to look at the wake and time it, i kept my eyes on the roller and followed it from the front of the boat. I took the second one, BOOOOOOM - got BOOTED, did a huge stalled out tail grab, I was so stoked when I came down. I mean I only went wake to wake but JESUS the hang time I got was unreal. So eventually, later on that run, he swings me another. I felt myself get launched, hit an off axis 3 off the second one. three words, oh...my....god. I stalled it out for a while and couldve swore I was coming down 15 ft. outside the second wake, yet I came down just on the other side.
that was by far the coolest feeling thing I have ever done on a wakeboard. I can definitely see how the pros can take sets doing nothing but those....
let me go ahead and give props to bizzy for dropping some sweet off axis 5's that day too _________________ http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=16993 one of few trips i got to make to the lake this year |

| Haha thats cool. Double ups are a different ballgame, it feels like you are getting catapulted to a new level. The falls can hurt a lot more, that part kinda sucks. |

I love tweaking out a huge tail grab off the d-up. Spinning backside while holding the grab and coming back to regular as you come down or passing the handle late to finish off the BS 180. It's the stuff. D-ups are a whole different ball game. I swear sometimes the wake looks like it's only 4 feet wide from up there. Good Stuff!!!!

just remember that you don't need to cut into a double up as hard as you cut into a regular wake to wake jump wannabe. although the harder you cut, the more air you get.
