I am planning on building a slider or kicker or funbox or something.. i'm not sure what i want to use for the top if i make a kicker or fun box... i want to keep this thing as cheap as possible since i have access to a little bit of wood and some pvc if needed.. could i use plywood for the ramp of the kicker?? what is best to use that is slick and smooth that wont tear up our boards.. |

Where can you find pvc board? I found what I thought it was at Lowes, but it was made of fiberglass and cost almost $30 a sheet. I'm sure there is something else out there other than this. _________________ Jason

30 bucks a sheet isn't bad, considering that particle board is like 15 bucks a sheet. _________________

LFPIMP, I was just using it for an example of price, not recommending anyone actually use it for a slider surface. If you want to go all out, there's a kind of plastic called UHMW polyethylene, which is used for the inner lining of dump truck beds, as well as the slick surfacing material on the bottom of airboats. It's super tough, and slick enough for an airboat to slide down asphalt. Check out www.tse-ok.com. It's a little pricy, but you only need to buy the quarter inch stuff because it will not wear our from wakeboards sliding on it. I built a 45 foot a-frame with this stuff on the surface, and it works like a dream. It's pretty easy on the wakeboards, compared with trex, the only thing is I used black, and it expands a lot on a hot day, so you may want to go with a lighter color. _________________
