without knowing your skill level or setup I can at least point out the obvious. Weight the boat and read the progressive edge tips on the front page. |

it's all about rope tension, progressive edge, and pop. A big wake and a tower help too _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

hehehe fat chicks i always laugh when people recommend them for ballast, but thats kinda hard on milage when you put in a ton of weight, my set up is a HL permier, straightline 0 stretch rope, 7 foot big air pylon, 1989 thundercraft(kinda like a bayliner) |

2 hot chicks weigh more than most fat chicks, plus they don't cramp your style _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

Never tried it aahhhh!! Yes it guzzles gas and tends to send water over the bow, but hey it's just more weight in the boat. But the benefits far outweigh the negative aspects. I mean how much does it really change the gas usage, not enough to notice and if you have beef with it then you empty it out after you finish riding. How do you ride without weight? Poorly I guess. |

Definitely see what you can to add some weight. Weighing the boat is the key to getting a desired wake shape, you need a good transitional wake or you won't have a good ramp to jump. It can get sketchy once its loaded down with a lot of lbs, it won't be nearly as bad in a I/O b/c the bow has that natural rise.
We don't fill the sacs until we are settled at our riding spot, its not good on the prop or on the engine to travel too far w/ a loaded down boat. It only takes about 8 minutes to fill 2 700lb sacs and we use that time to get the rope set up and get our gear ready. Then we drain them when the day is over, and just take it easy driving back to the loading dock. |

like I said, progressive edge
that's what gives you air _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

A longer rope and higher speed doesn't hurt either _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

Higher speed will hurt your height if you don't have your edging/release down. _________________ Raley cut everything! |

i learned to ride for 2 summers just behind an outboard with almost no wake at all. I learned to get respectable air with it and learned how to pop as much as i could- my first day behind a real wakeboard boat was crazy! but once i got used to the size of the bigger wakes, it was on and I'm getting good air these days. Just get your technique and timing down no matter what wake size is, and you will go off when on a big wake. later, sean |

Longer rope length will help..... but your boat might not have a good wake passed a certain point... you need to mess around with it a bit to find how far you can go out with out the wake washing out on you....
Progressive edge is the main thing to work on.... _________________ PEACE
