i hate sounding like a newb but i have a burton cruzier 145. im about 5'7 and 130 pounds, yea i'm skinney. ive heard that from a local board shop that i need a bigger board. but the thing is im almost 16 and saving up for a car plus i live in texas and only go up to the mountains two-three times a year. should i stay with the cruzier 145, go up to maybe a burton king 156 or a bigger board?

mwhit, first of all, that's amazing. I am also 5'7 130 lbs.

I ride a 155 and love it. i ride all mountain, but also a lot of park. i don't know how old your board is. if it's in good shape, i would say u could get away with riding a 145 if you only go 2 to 3 times a year.

it's small, yeah, but it will work if you want it to. nobody quote me to tell me that sounded dirty.... i know, i know.

I'm in the same boat - in TX - going for the first time in Jan - I was thinking about buying a demo for what it is going to cost to rent for 4 days -

I dunno - rent or buy?

but will a short board slow me down alot? because i love going fast. im not one of those people that do those 180s down the mountain. (no offense to the people that do) and im starting to do rails now since the place i go to replaced the jumps with the rails. so will a short board slow me down on them to?
