Pics of my '85 SN 2001 and the wake: http://www.dallaswakeboarding.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7484&highlight=live

Pics of working on it: http://www.2froeses.com/sn2001/

A site specifically for the 82' - 89' 2001 boats: http://www.the2001.com/

I love this boat and the hull. I typically put either 1000 lbs. or 1500 lbs. in the boat (the pic on dallaswakeboarding of the wake is with 1500lbs. and 1 person. I think my buddy is riding at 75ft. back) The wake is steep and clean - we have no problems riding 80ft back, but w/1500lbs. in the boat, the wake becomes a curb at that length. It's a narrower wake than the newer boats, just because the beam of the boat is narrower.

The interior space is small - rotten stringers are a common problem. I don't mind the smallness and I have good stringers. I recommend being mechanically inclined owning an older boat. There's always something to work on and you'll save yourself a lot of money if you can do minor work on the engine and install your own stuff.

With the right prop and Perfect Pass on these boats, you won't know you're riding behind something that is over 20 years old. Responsive, uses much less gas, flies out of the hole and I don't have a boat payment! Prices have gone up a good bit since last spring. Just be sure you inspect the one you are interested in very well, test it on a lake and be sure it's solid.

I'm biased, but these are great boats.
