I wouldnt say its extremely harder but it takes more technique and is a faster rotation. its easier to learn on a cable than behind the boat, generally you slow you speed a bit from your normal rding. basically you want to turn on a quick hard edge and once youve built up the line tension you want to flick your front foot and go into a backroll. the best i can explain a flick would be pushing down with your front foot and edging almost backwards or away from the boat.
it might help if you try them off the rollers when the boat is starting up on plane. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

learn them first inside out (starting inside the wakes edging out using the lip and drop off to do it.) After u got that down to where u don't have to edge long, u can just get a quick deep cut and pop them around, start throwing them off other boats rollers. The trick to doing it on flat water is line tension and initiation of the invert.
Go into the flats and with one motion, don't bend your knees too much, keep them solid and begin a quick edge leaning hard against the boat with your arms tight. it doesnt take long for the tension to gather up if u do it right. push (more of a pop because its all a quick motion) hard on you front foot and throw it like you would a w2w backroll. just remember that u want to have a lot of tension because thats what pushes you up and out of the water. POP it, dont just rotate it, u really have to get some air and rotate fast without the wake. _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

i ride cable...i can do them(most of the time)...theyre hard to get at first, but once you get the flicking technique they come to you...
1. you need to build up tension in the rope, harddd h/s edge
2. flick, weight dominantly on your back foot, youre bringing to board around and scooping it to release the tension in the rope (like youre going to trip someone in front of you) just like kick your front footo out behing you
3. do your rotation, a bit faster than w2w because you wont necessarily be getting AS much height
4. land |
