Let's here what the best double up you've seen, can or would like to perform.
My wish list is Big Nose -grab (double boned)HS backroll with a very late 3.(mobe, i guess)

Best I've seen are Gator's hoochie glide to fakie and Robb Reid's indy glide, both from way back. Those two guys went bigger than anybody off the double up.
Can't forget Randal's crazy melan grab in Natural Born Thrillaz, that was crazy too.
My favorite I can do would be both hs 180s, fs and bs with grabs throughout the whole thing, they're real fun to just hold on to and turn slowly.

Yeah HS/bs 180's into the flats are sweet, i've landed one where i came into the wake as hard as possible and took it as big as possible (no grab) and stuck it but jammed the shizzle out of my ankle. It's also alot harder to get the rope wrapped around you when you have that much tension in the line. Mabey if i grabbed it that would help. Stalefish or chicken salad grabs go really good with that trick. Later.

the best trick off the double up i ever saw was a double half-cab roll performed by Parks at last years comp at lake irvine So. cal. And as far as tricks of it go i just wanna do a grab or something i can never time it right.

A friend of mine I ride with (semick) has the smoothest bs spins, and he does them off the double up real good. He usually grabs indy and it looks like he's just going to do a shifty, but then he looks over his other shoulder and passes the handle, it's so sweet looking. I'll get footage of it soon and throw a video together of it.

Whatever trick I throw of the d-up, I try and grab it, bone it, float it as long as I can and not land with stiff legs ...bad things happen at that point

For me it's the big HS FS slob 360.....
I'd like to be able to do the Parks style off axis HS BS floaty 180, I still watch shafted just to see him do that trick over and over he takes it so huge.
I like Ricky G's Tanny to blind off the d-up also, smooth a silk....

I just want to be able to do something off the double up. It seems like I can do grabs and 180's fine, but when it comes to something like a backroll or whatever, it just doesn't work. I guess it's the timing

Hit it right and you will have all the time in the world! But yes indeed thats the tough part. Charge it late and stay close, only like 10-15ft out.

that big trick randall harris does in natural born thrillaz is a method grab, not a melan grab. that is sick. the sickest i have seen is randall harris' wrapped frontside 5 at the doubleup contest in orlando last year. he should have won that but oh well.

other best-
Vandal remix wrapped frontflip
Vandal double grabbed 3
Vandal indy t to b
And at the big air contest a couple years ago when Parks was asked what he may throw and he said he was going to try to land a 180, it sounded funny, then he proceeds to throw a whaling poked out 15ft bs o/a 180. I think he slipped out on the doube half cab and didn't win though.
Both Parks clips and TONS of other fat double ups are on wakeboardingmag.com under videos!!

yeah, it's too bad hey never let Randy Harris win. He goes so big and so smooth, yet you never see him with a gold...

He won a lot of stuff back in the day, but he thinks riding at 22mph with a 75ft line is ridiculous and limits your riding, and thats what they have to ride at or they won't be able to string a bunch of tricks in 2 passes. He wants to open up and go huge and not worry about tackling a poorly placed rainbow slider so he doesn't do comps. Same as lots of other riders that stick the most technical stuff out there.
If I was him, I would adapt to comp riding and go out there and throw down and make my fans and sponsors very happy, but that is easy for me to say- I just want the pro hos

I like Murray's d up where he holds that grab forever and then does a really late blind 3.

The best double up I remember was about 5 years ago. Parks pulled a huge 911 to suitcase grab. The trick was totally stalled out. He went huge off the doulbe, stalled the 911 and extend the suitcase grab. The trick at the time was revolutionary. Does anyone remember this trick?

damn. I wish I could ride like randy...
next time I ride, I think I'll try and go 26, just to see what it's like. How far back should the rope be?
