One of my boards is partly white...well it used to be...now it's yellow. Is there a way to get the yellowing off of it and get it back to its original color? I'm sure it's similar to the yellowing of a boat's gel coat. Can you use the same stuff you would use on a boat, or will it damage the board/finish? _________________ Whoever coined the term "Near Beer" was a very poor judge of distance... |

The yellowing of your board is from the sun, not the water. _________________

So no chance in getting it back to the original color then? Not that big of a deal I guess. It's only cosmetic, and it's the boat board. _________________ Whoever coined the term "Near Beer" was a very poor judge of distance... |

Luke is right. Sun kills paint. If it's turning, it cant be that new of a board. Dont waste your time. ride it till it breaks or make it into a chair. _________________ My beer drinking friends have a wake boarding problem. |

The two lakes we board/ski at are two distinct colors... Brown and green.
The colors are so prominent that when little kids at the local schools draw pictures you can tell which lake they live near by the color of the water. _________________ MMMM... COFFEE |

Loppy, the board is a 2006 HL Motive. Before I had my own boat, I left it with my buddy's boat and he may have just let it sit on the deck between outings...although we usually lean the boards on their bindings with the base pointing skyward, so they don't slide around as much...who knows?
I think I'm going to follow wake_quake's advice, and stop wakeboarding in coffee _________________ Whoever coined the term "Near Beer" was a very poor judge of distance... |

Oh snap! Well, you guys must have no ozone left over Kansas. Thats pretty new for it to turn that much.
I ride an 05 Substance, so it's always laying on the boot side. The bottom is already a monkey puke green color, so no harm. Gotta protect the purdy white up top. _________________ My beer drinking friends have a wake boarding problem. |
