|
|
| I love to wakeboard but I'm a bit of a beginner. I can do like w2w grabs HS, TS FS 180s, simple switch riding, and other fairly simple things. I can't even go w2w TS yet though. I'm going to The Wakeboard Camp in the coming year and I was wondering how much this will help? Will I get a lot better? Is it possible I will come out doing inverts? Raleys after the camp maybe? |

| JoshGillie, you will be able to accomplish what your athletic ablitiy allows. When I have students visit my camp, I usually have them make out a list of 3 things they want to accomplish. The most important thing is that you listen and pay attention to the instructor. You may feel as though a drill isnt going to help you nail that 540, but it will help, because wakeboarding builds on itself. The most improtant thing aside from listening to your coach, is to just go have fun. You could be either working, or in school. Good luck! |

| its going to help unbelievably, i went from barely clearing the wake to doing a couple inverts and spins in one week. not only does the coaching help, but just riding a lot everyday and having other people there pushing you is a huge factor |

If you attend the camp with the mindset that you are going to get the most out of it, you will progress. Make sure that you schedule yourself at a time of the year that you are at your peak physical condition so that is not a factor. Please keep us posted on your progress! _________________ For God so loved the world, He gave His only Begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life! | I just got back form the projects 6 days ago, and in 5 days I learned heelside front flips, heelside backrolls to revert, swtich backrolls, half cab rolls, switch toeside wake jumps and 180s, indy backrolls, toeside 540s, and was very close on a switch scarecrow. I also learned how to hit rails and by the end of the week was hitting the 85 foot A-Frame and doing front 3s and boardslides to back 3s over rails. Thats alot of progression in 5 days |

| Hey guys, thanks for all the input. I'm gonna be going for a week at TWC sometime in March or April. I'm so stoked to be going and to get a lot of it, I can't wait. |

i am going to florida nov03 for 4 days and trying to figure where to take lessons. good to hear from jflo452 and how much he progressed in 5 days. if i could pickup half of that i would be happy. i can only do backroll, tantrum, 360 and a close on toeside frontroll.
jflo452 who was coaching you there and what was your starting point |

Before going down i had the following tricks
Heelside:
fs 180s
bs 180s
fs 360s
backrolls
Tantrums
Raleys
Toeside:
fs 180s
fs 360s
fs 540s (ugly and incosistent)
backrolls
backrolls to revert
frontrolls
scarecrows
Switch: Heelside 180s
While in florida I learend to hit a bunch of rails, did some boardslides to backside 3s and frontside 3s over some of the rails. I learend swithc backrolls, half cab rolls, and switch toeside 180s, ill hit a switch scarecrow next season very easily. I also learned heelside fronts, rolls to revert and learned how to do a good toeside 5. I was coached mostly by ryan doyle, Pat and robbie jacques. Kevin Henshaw pulled me for my best rail set because doyle injured his knee and a bunch of canadian people coached me for one set as well. If your going to a camp I would recommend the projects over anywhere else. You ride 4 sets a day as opposed to 2 or 3, and the rail park alone makes it worth it. I will be going back down for 2 or 3 weeks in march. Hope this helps
I had hit one shitty rail but lacked experience beyond that |
