We got it last night.
I rode for about 2 minutes without the rope for the first time!!!
We did:
wedge down
rear tank on pass side full.
about 400 or so pounds of lead under the pass seats
center MLS full
9.8 mph
our key was deeper water.
once we got to 8 to 10 feet depth, the wake was HUGE.
I was riding on top of it looking down into the boat.
It was quite funny to see the other boats trying to cross our rollers.

K-dub, arent you a malibu dealer? Theres a warning sticker that says no more than 75 lbs in those compartments. Whats your say on that? Can it be completely ignored or ignored to a degree (like <300lbs) |

LFADAM, i'm not telling you to do anything here....but the key is to fill the MLS tank up before you put weight on top of the floor above it.....
But, I didn't say it. |

I can hear it now
Hi Mr service writer my back locker cover is cracked from having a 700lb sac on it and K-dub said it was OK.
LFADAM go with what the factory warning is But I have seen 750lb sacs on top of the locker with out a problem (MLS tank was FULL before filling bag).
On my 03 VLX I have MLS full in center, surf side, 700 in surf locker, 700 on surf side seat, 500 in center front walk way and 1 person on surf side. _________________ "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy stuff, what a ride!" |
