How long do you guys usually stay up when ur wakeboarding? How long could you stay up when you were learning? I literally just started this week and the first day I went I was so exhausted from learning and failing that by the time i managed to get up fairly consistently I would let go after 3-4 minutes because my legs are just shot. I went again two days later and thought id be a little less tired, but same deal my legs would get so tired I would let go. So I was wondering if this happened to you as well when you were learning? I lift 6 days a week on a three day-break-three day format and two of those days I do legs, but damn wakeboarding is quite the workout on my legs...is this a normal noob complaint?

also, question for those of you with knee injuries...i am just learning so I feel like i could get used to having my right leg in front or my left leg in front...ive been doing right but i had acl recon on my right leg, so on your average wipeout is the front leg more likely to suffer than your rear or its just luck of the draw?

What you need to train to be able to hang in there on a wakeboard is static traning, that means you put pressure on a muscle for a longer period, without "resting" during it, like standing squated with your legs in 90degrees angle with weights on your shoulders (or without)

A good excersice for this is: Standing against a wall, bend your knees to 90 degrees angle, have your back against the wall, and you should feel your front legs working like hell, keep your arms on your head for maximized effect. Do this for 30sec-1min depending on how strong your leg is at this moment, and repeat it 2 or 3 times, perfect at the morning!

Me my self have been snowboarding for quite a few years, so i dontt have this problem, but a few "lazy" friends do Smile

It could also be that your riding on "Choppy" water, which makes the riding a lot more heavy.

Also, your probably not relaxing when you are riding, that will come in a while.

cool...ill start doin more static training rather than just higher reps. It gets frustrating bc im so proud that i can stand but man...it gets tiring but i guess this is a true case of what doesnt kill me will make me stronger...ive noticed my upper back and shoulders feel the way they do after a tough day at the gym so im glad this new hobby is also healthy

I ride for about 35-50 mins,
and fall maybe 2-3 times.

My legs are like rocks from hockey, so its not bad.

Just lift and run, you will get more endurance.

How fast are you going. When I get pulled to slow my legs get tired much faster.
