50' ? Too long? Most ride atleast 75' behind a wakeboat. I ride 70' including handle behind my I/O. Really depends on your wake though. _________________ '05 Supra Launch 24SSV |

people generally ride from anywhere between 50' - 90' , 65'-75' feet seems to be the most common.
I personally ride between 55'-60' , thats behind a x-5 and an x-7.
Not sure what speed, neither have perfect pass but usually the norm 18-23mph.
It can depend alot on the boat, some boats have wider wakes than others.
Ive never riden behind the new Malibu before, and I will be first time when I compete at Wakestock and im prety nervous because I was told they have a really wide wake. _________________ "One day Parks will teach me how to be a Professional Chase Boat Driver." |

I ride at 75 ft at 23 mph but some of my friends ride at 60 ft at 20 mph. I will agree with everyone.. 50 ft is way way crazy short! _________________ "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."

Ya 20-30 feet is way too close. Depends on the boat you ride behind. I ride 60 behind my boat and like 75 behind my friends boat. _________________ Check out my wakeboarding video on my myspace!!! go to

| just get the boat up to a comfortable speed, and let your rope out from there. You want to find the Biggest part of the wake, with the least amount of whitewash. |

Shorter ropes tend to pull you over when you try wake to wake anything. I ride at 80' and I can definitely tell the difference in the pull when I ride behind my friend's boat at 70'. The Longer your line, the more tension you can put on it without it pulling you over to the side. _________________

yeah but the 210 has a narrow wake. you probably wouldn't ride at 80' on many other boats. |
