just use ur old board. that's what i do. i'm not goin to throw away $200 on sliders. i have my premier, and than i use my old piece of crap O'brien Ambush on sliders. some sliders don't hurt ur board though. some just leave the white plactic stuff on ur board and others can tear it up. so just use ur od one!!!!!

i hit sliders and kickers ALOT with my board, ont my old one, my old one got torn up from the sliders, i just use my board, its part of the sport, your equipment will eventually get ruined, but if you hit sliders and kickers, it wont mess it up, unless something out of the ordinary or you have a bad crash happens

that's what epoxy is for. it'll fix pretty much everything. or you could get an origin. i hit a lot of sliders and it holds up extremly well.

Id use your old board if you are going out for a slider session, if you are going out for a normal set and there happens to be a slider then use the new one on it. Sliders destroy boards, i have gone through 4 boards this summer alone just on slider sessions

Wakedork, You mean you will use your new board and hit our slider with it?? After you and Core messed my beauty up. ha ha ... I will hold you to it.

I don't plan on putting my new board on no slider.

yeah, we need to tell jason to keep it on the PVC. I would hate to see him hit the plywood and catch an edge. It could happen when we change it around.

they arnt that difficult, it just takes some time to leanr them, some people catch on really fast to them, and others...like me, lol, take longer to learn them, but once you learn them, after that its not to bad, you just gott to get used to them

Im glad this was an old board. But lots of epoxy fixed it up pretty well. But this shows what a slider can do to a board if u hit it wrong.

most sliders won't mess it up, but if ur made of money go ahead. a board can last forever if u don't hit sliders with it, but if u do it's goin to mess it up. and different sliders do different things. good sliders will just leave some PVC on ur board, but if u hit something that's falling apart (such as the little jon baot at OWC) ur board is goin to get messed up!!!!!!!!!

the 2003 DNA cores for hyperlite changed this year right, w/ carbon fiber pieces or something? Adding the new jib base, how well do the 2003 DNA cores stand up to sliders compared to the biolites?

The picture of the broken board happened from just one time hitting it wrong. I was trying to spin on the slider but slipped off as i was, and ran into one of the supports. I've hit that slider about a hundred times though with no damage to my board, so i guess i just got unlucky that time.

that little john boat doesn't mess up your board if you hit it right. At first when i was hitten it I would hit it half wa between a 50 50 and boardslide and it would mess up my molded fins, but now that I just boardslide it its fine. My friend hit a kicker at owc and it wasn't sunk down enough so it tore off his molded fin completely. So stuff does happen.

Ive been riding for over a year on owc's sliders with the same board and have had no serious problems besides breaking a piece of the nose off trying to transfer the funbox. But its all been fixed with a figerglass repair kit. Most of the sliders they have out now are pretty well made. But i remeber the big kicker had nails sticking out everywhere and would tear up everyones boards.

OK I think I spoke to soon, my whole heelside edge has delaminated so I went out last night and bought a board. Its an 02 Belmont 136 that was used as a demo board, and I got it for $170.
