Can someone compare the Malibu LSV wake width with the VLX? I ride at 23mph and 70' mostly behind our LSV. I haven't ridden behind a VLX lately but I bet that would be over 75' for an equal wake width. I'll ride at 75 sometimes behind our LSV and that is super wide.

I was just wanting to know what lengths you ride at (all else being equal) behind the two boats.

The vlx i rode behind had a pretty damn wide wake, but we were riding pretty slow. I can't compare the two though.

I ride behind a LSV at 75 ft going 22.5, but im pretty sure that the lsv wakes are wider but not by too much just because of that the lsv is a wider boat

the LSV only has a 2" wider beam than the VLX....they're both on the SV25 wake hull....now if we're talking about the old VLX hull, then there is a huge difference in wake width.

My personal experience between the two has been that the wakes are almost identical when the boats are weighted the same, and the same speed.

Which VLX are you considering the SV23 Hull (04 and before VLX, current V-ride) or the SV25 Hull (05 - current VLX)?

I thought it was called the V25 diamond hull?

Anyways I have a Mali VLX and ride 70@22.5 and have ridden behind an LSV...the LSV was wide but not much more than the VLX...id guess a foot or less.

LFADAM, the diamond hull is on the responses and the sunscapes/sunsetters, not on the wakesetters. I think that the boats are pretty = when weighted the same, but you can get more weight in the lsv so you can make it wider.

The Wakesetter line can be ordered with the Diamond Hull is desired.

How can you get "more" weight in the LSV than in the VLX? Last I checked, you can get just as much weight in either of the boats.

K-dub, help me out here---

I have an older VLX,a friend has an '04 LSV. I just got mine and am tuning it in. I am used to riding his, but seem to like mine a bit better even with no ballast. Any reccomendations on weighting/speed/line lengths on these two boats? Thanks,......

I was in JC sports the other day In Seneca, SC. I saw SOME Malibu that was however long with however many pounds of ballast. but it seated SIXTEEN people. my life goal is to board behind that boat, ballasts full, and full of fat people. I mean REALLY fat people. not like "kinda pudgy" I mean like "dear god this lake isn't fit for a whale" people. I need fifteen voulunteers, plus a driver. anyone?

K-dub, you can order a sunscape which has a diamond hull and have them put wakesetter graphics and even mls I have made those orders before. You checked right you can order 1250 stock in both boats, but obviously you can get more weight in the lsv, it is a bigger boat and has more room for sacks or even people.
