ok ok so its not a NEW malibu, and really its not a malibu sports boat at all... but its all mine! lol,

its a 1985 malibu 180, 18' long with a 3.0L mercruiser motor and alpha 1 outdrive, the 4 blade prop holds speed excellent, but its just a little too much pitch for getting out of the hole.

i got it cheap with the trailer (4500 canadian) and so far its been running like a champ! i just need to redo the anitfowling paint on the lower hull.

puts out a pretty nice wake and the 3.0l merc with 1200lbs of ballast in the boat still does 33mph. my plans are pretty simple, my tsunami tower will be here in a few days, and i may drop a chevy 350 in it over the winter, thats about it!

Hey I like the swim platform. For a boat that old I'm surprised they had a teak platform for an I/O. It was a head of it time for sure, I wonder why they ever stopped putting them on.

Does she have the V-6?

yeah it is, its extreamly in good condition for its age, there is no rips or tears in the seats, the floor is dirty but i just gotta clean it.

as for the swim deck, i love it, its soo handy!

its actually a big 4 banger, 170 hp but not a v6 Sad
