I've been wakeboarding for 3 summers now. Just messing around, never trying any tricks. Well we finally got an 06 Mastercraft and I'd like to start trying some tricks, etc...
I've been reading that Ollies are the place to start but the site didn't have a great description on them.
Anyway, here's from the muddy waters in Oklahoma this weekend, my craptacular jump/fall. I didn't have much edge as you can tell (as I'm just now really starting to try).
My buddy blew out his knee on a binded wakeboard and now I'm afraid of mine so I was using an old strap only board. Any words on that? I theorized that he blew out his knee because he landed wrong and his foot didn't escape which tore up his knee, but no idea if that's what happened. I saw his fall and it didn't look bad too me.
Enough rambling...

Enjoy. Tips on all my skills or lack thereof would be appreciated (for instance, body position, how I'm holding the handle, rope length, etc...)
Thanks a ton... |

| yea you've probably got a better chance of hurting yourself with old bindings that don't give you as much control as you could be getting. |

what kinda wakeboard is that? and from what i saw you should be going a bit faster before you try to jump the wake, and it will make it pretty east to ollie too, and when you went to jump (as you know) you do need to have some more edge, and next time try to do it healside instead of toeside because its quite a bit easier....send another video of your next try and good luck!

| dude cut out more and then come in with a progressive edge and stand tall at the wake... and as far as the bindings you need to get rid of the straps they are old school there is a reason they got rid of the straps. |

| Don't worry about your knees, and don't worry about falling. The more you worry and think, the more you will fall. Gurantee it. |
