I bought a LF search 139 this winter and tried to get up last weekend. I tried about 7 times then went skiing. I have been watching a video that i got with my board and researching on this site for a while. i skateboard, water + snow ski. wen i tried to get up i had the nose higher than the tail. i had the board at a slant like this (boat)------\ i serfaced once then faceplanted. i sat like a catcher under water. I want to try and get up this weekend though.
Thanks for any help

| Alright first of all dont go skiing anymore, then when your waiting for the boat to pull you up stay compact keep your knees bent, your shoulders back and dont let them get pulled out in front of you. As the boat takes off, you will feel the flow of water under your board. Put a little more pressure on your heels but dont force your legs outward. This is the force you will use to get you to the surface. As long as you keep your arms in, your shoulders back and a compact body postion you will get a rocking forward motion that will feel like someone is helping you up from a seated position on the ground. When this happens you are ready to stand up because you will have surfaced. Also try puttign your forearms on top of your knees this will help you keep the handle centered. Good luck once you get it youll be ready to toss that ski!! |

i just got up for the first time the other day but that might make me the best person to explain to you how to get up..... Keep your arms straight, keep them in between your knees (the single most important thing that had me poppin up EVERY TIME NOW). The other important thing is stayin Leaned Back and when the boat starts pullin point your toes at the boat, this gives the board a good plane angle.... Next just let the boat do the work!!! it will pop u up every time, I PRoMiSE............. |
