Ok well I'm getting a new board for summer/college and I need a way to keep it safe. I'm riding behind a I/O and my dad wont put a tower or pylon on cause he thinks they look trashy for some reason. Well w/o one i cant get a board rack so my board has just been sitting in the boat next to the cooler when its not in use. I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas on what to do w/ my new board cause my old board isnt in the best shape just from being banged around in the boat. Are there any racks that i can somehow mount to the side of the boat or is there anything i can put my board in to protect it? I was thinking about buying some neoprene and making a board rap for it so it wont take such a beating. Thanks for any suggestions

jpk, Laughing

You can actually get racks to mount on railings or the transom, although I'm not sure where.

Simple solution: Don't bang your board around.....

I never put my board in a bag, or on a tower, or anything. It just chills behind the drivers seat next to the cooler, towels, food, etc..... The only time my board gets damaged is when someone messes up a dock start or drops it.

keep it in a bag. it'll make all the other boards layin around the boat jealous. j/k. bags are great for travelling but suck on the boat. just one more thing to stash when you're ready to ride.
