My cousin and I have been wakeboaring for a month or two and each time we go out we come home with sore legs(mainly the back leg). Do u just have to get used to it or are we doing something wrong?? |

Since it's mainly your back leg, did you used to slalom ski? I've seen some people that have way too much weight on their back leg and riding in a slalom skiing type position. You should have the weight mostly even on both feet most of the time. |

yeah, give it time and you'll stop hurting.
also, practice your switchstance, that way both legs will be sore _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

your body just may need to take time to get used to the pulling, once your body gets used to it, it will be fine, you just get used to it once your into the sport and fall in love with it, it just comes with the sport |

Speaking of which, I better start working out different muscles, cause from what I hear that riding at the cable and behind the boat work totally diffrent muscles. _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

then you must be doing something wrong... try and explain the position which you are riding into... or if you can, post a picture of you riding and we'll see... _________________ If women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy. |

Yeah, I get sore 2 times during the year, right when basketball starts, then I get out of shape, then in summer when wakeboarding and summer ball starts, It's really just getting back into the groove of things, the soreness will be over soon! |

I'll try to explain my position:
My left hand is on the rope. My right leg is back, and i try and bend my knees. When i go for a jump i go out and when coming back to the wake i bend reel low. Then i pop off the wake. I think maybe i have too much weight on my back leg. |

First of all, handle placement is key. Keep both hands on the handle and keep your handle placed at your front hip. This will be difficult at first and your arms will get tired quickly but dont give up. I usually dont let students start jumping the wake until they have mastered handle placement and edge control so focus on the boaring stuff more that trying to go straight to the excitement. |
