So what i've been reading has completely got me confuesed about how to compare the weight to height ratio with board sizes. I had a plan to get a substance 138 as i am 5'8 and 160 lbs. *the short and stocky style* byt i went to that boardstop link on the sticky thread and it sized me for nothing above a 136. As I have not been wake boarding for not even a year yet and am currently riding a 142 generic brand board *found at your local walmart Q_Q* its quite wide i donno how wide but i do feel really slow and extremely bulky in the water.

but since I havent ridden any other size or type of board I cant make a very ligit statement about how I think I should feel in the water. I figure speed and sharp cutting are the best choices. When I'm on my board I have to really pull hard to make a sharp turn. Is that just usual thing? Or is this the result of a short guy on a tall board?

anyways

which board....... sorry...

Drive 134 or 139

State 135

or if i can get the money!!! *which i probably could*

a PS3 137 with some wicked bindings but i know NOTHING about bindings so immmm screwed there!

well thanks for the help

A board tad bigger than what is suggest shouldnt be a problem, espcially if your already used to riding a 142... alot of the pros atleast ride the size above suggested for them. I know your not pro but it is an example.

Rent the boards and try them out. Most board shops will let you apply your rental cash towards the purchase of a board. So rent all of them, try them out and see what you like best.

Yeah, demo one son! See what you like, you could ride a 135-141, whatever at that size. I bet you'd like a 139 =]
