I would go with the 143.. There is not toooo much difference in the 139 and the 143... 4 cm is not much at all. Personaly I like a bigger board

I dont know dude. I have a 142 project and a 143 parks and they feel to big for me. I am 6'4 170lbs so i have been told i need to ride a 142. I dont see how height can effect things though cuase the board does not know how tall you are.

I would go 143....that is the exact board I'm riding right now a 143 omega. Love it. I'm about 6'2" 180lbs or so. I was on a 138 before this and seem to have a much more solid feel now, think the extra surface area is helping out somewhat. Good luck.

Goobster, some people will talk about swing weight and whatnot, but at your level I doubt you will notice the extra bit of drag on your 7's

yea thats what i thought...but i know a lot of like "profesional" riders (cable) and asked their advice and they reccomended that and its worked great
i think if you demo whichever boards your interested in it would probably help lol |

I dont think smaller boards are easier to spin or control, In fact I think a smaller board hurts your landing. Spin is controlled by your edge off of the wake and the rotational momentum that you start prior to leaving the water.

What would be the benefit or disadvantage of riding a larger board?

i wouldn't say there are really advantages or disadvantages...boards are always about preference. longer boards are usually faster on the water, some say they don't spin as well but i'm sure it depends on what ur used to...even within the length of a board it still depends what the board is designed for...if u have a 3 stage rocker it will sit lower n wont travel as fast but will have more pop...if u have a continuous it'll sit higher in the water n travel faster but wont boot u as high... _________________ Smile at the hotties on the boat...Huck ur new trick...Nail it and they'll think ur Wicked..and even if u bail they can soothe u afterwards:D...
