A 132 will be fine for you. Look for a board with a removable center fin - makes it much easier to learn on. I highly recommend the LF Fusion myself. Good luck. _________________ Hey yall, watch this! |

acpoweradapter, I am 6' or so, and weigh like 160 to 165, and I like a big board. It really doesnt matter what size board you get, as you will not sink it when the boat is going. Bigger boards are softer on landings, and offer a little more pop on your tricks. However, it really is what you feel comfortable on though. Nobody can really say one size is just right for you... And I am going to venture to say that 90% of users on this board are on the wrong board themselves.
If you are in the market for a good starter board though, I would reccomend the CWB SOL over any other starter board on the market.
Then again, you are also asking if we like the Byerly board, so you obviously dont care how advanced the board is for your skill level. I personally dont like that board, but thats just me.
If in the future, you care to braoden to horizon, look into other comps out there. O'Brien, Liquid Force, CWB, Jobe, J Star, CWB, Gator, Body Glove are all quality companies that I have dealt with outside of Hyperlite. Do some research, and get back here.
I see that you are from Fairhope, right outside of Mobile I assume. There are tons of boardshops in that area; Take advantage of the shops that let you demo. _________________

Yea, i'm in Fairhope but it is across the bay from Mobile so it takes a long time to get over there. I tried out some boards in Panama City when I went there a few days ago so I think i'm ending up getting a Gator Militants. I thought about how the Byerly was to advanced for me right now so I decided not to go for it.
Thanks |
