PMart, go for a 137 i'm 6'0 and 155 and i ride an o'brien oasis 137...a board is easy to find for me but try finding a size 13 binding that fits comfotabely nwo theres a real challenge!
Cowboys N' Rangers, I would go for a 140 to 142 145 may be a little too big but it depends how you want to ride also. Why you like cowboys and rangers they both suck! i'm a local DFWer and I have to go for the Mav's and Stars!! |

fatkidscanwakeboard, just wondering how tall are u?...and if u can pull any tricks?...i've seen larger guys wakeboard, i think it actually makes it harder to learn mechanics to tricks. sorry for the negativity. _________________ Smile at the hotties on the boat...Huck ur new trick...Nail it and they'll think ur Wicked..and even if u bail they can soothe u afterwards:D...

fatkidscanwakeboard, Im 200 lbs 5'10" I ride a 143 and a 141. I can huck 3's, raleys, and can almost land front and back rols, I was just learning them at the end of last season, I will nail them this season for sure. I dont think weight has anything to do with being able to throw a trick, the understanding of how to rotate, launch and land has everything to do with it.

k sorry to side track...i'm not sure on exact board to get or anythig but size wise there are alot of threads on this one so u can search...personally i'm about the same height and a good 20 lbs heavier n i ride 137...so if ur gonna grow into the board a bit maybe go 135-138 or if u think ur gonna upgrade by then go 132 n up...n for bindings i wouldn't worry as much...to me they don't affect riding as much as boards do. for under 300 maybe check a local shop for package deals. _________________ Smile at the hotties on the boat...Huck ur new trick...Nail it and they'll think ur Wicked..and even if u bail they can soothe u afterwards:D...

personal preferance.. every person rides a different size of board... some huge ppl like tiny boards.. its just the way it goes.. if u can demo them then that is the way to do it!! if not then go for the one recomended by your local shop

brath5, Thanks for the kind words, I'm not fat I bench 315, I'm just a really built guy. My other hobby is going to the gym. I still think that a guy that is 200 lbs. can throw anything as long as they understand the mechanics of the trick.

kevthayer, yah it doesn't hurt to be strong in this sport...I'm pretty good at hockey n the athleticism really helps...good strong arms especially for pullin the rope back in on ralyes. weight isn't the biggest issue i think, if ur 6'2 or something ur bound to be heavier...but if u have alot of fat on u and aren't as strong it'd prolly make it alot tougher. _________________ Smile at the hotties on the boat...Huck ur new trick...Nail it and they'll think ur Wicked..and even if u bail they can soothe u afterwards:D...

Lol at you youngins... if you are under 25 and plan to keep the board for awhile go higher, cause you will gain weight and lose that muscle. I graduated HS at 175, Graduated College (many many beers later) at 190 and now am 30 and 205 (6ft). I was always the 6 pack kid with the least body fat on my hoops teams. Now I am fat, and outta shape, but that hasnt stopped me. Go a bit higher IMO.
