How would this wakeboard be for me being I am a beginner and dont want to spend a ton of money until I learn good riding skill. Its a hydroslide ocean w/standard bindings in sizes up to men's 12. Length 142 cm, Waist 40.5cm, Tip/Tail 20.5 cm, Rocker 5.70cm. I am about 5-11 195lbs. ONce I get wakeboarding down I will be willing to spend more money on a better board (and also a new boat) Laughing . This board is about $150w/bindings.

let me guess, it is at walmart?

get on eBay and get a used one if money is an issue. bindings are key. as a beginner you should be working on fundementals and not so much on how big a wake might be or how much pop the board has. if you have good form you will have POP whether or not the board "has pop" or not

Hydoslide has the brand superiority like a pair of Payless shoe source shoes. I started with a hydroslide it lasted about 6 sessions and the binding tore right along the base. I jumped on ebay and picked up an O'Brien Oasis (I think) Then next season a BS Assassin, and this season??? We will see whats out there. If you pick up a used hyperlite, O'Brien, CWB, Blindside, or Double up you will be much happier with your purchase.

Obruien Ambush is a good starter board as long as you have the lace up bindings, if they are the heel strap or velcro style, you will be hating it as soon as you start riding aggeressively. 150 is not bad for a board binding combo. Good luck

Here's a good startup combo.

Liquid Force Search Wakeboard + Metro Boots 2005 $199 and free shipping in US right now. I ordered a board through them last year and recently ordered a wake skate and vest. Great people to deal with Smile
