I have been on a wakeboard twice. The second time I was able to jump the wake both ways. I am shopping for my own boat, and at the same time I am shopping for a board of my own. Boardstop has me at about 138. I am 5'9" and 165lbs. I would rather have a stable but manueverable board. But not something that seems to skip around under my feet. About anyone who reads this is probably more experienced than I am so if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Just find something that has a continuous rocker and a nice size fin (keeps the board tight, instead of loose and slippery). I always have people ride my search, seems to be GREAT for beginners.

For a first board any decent branded board will work just fine. I would buy used for a first board, best deals are usually on E-Bay

I say demo a couple out from your pro shop and see what you like the best and what works best for your style and riding. You will be much happier with what you like instead of just listening to someone. Another bonus of demos are that some shops will give you credit for purchases from their shop. Check it out trust me Wink
