I've searched the forum and can't seem to find an answer so:

I think I've decided to get a CWB Sol w/Mobe bindings. It was recommended to me that I should get a board that is about 138cm (I weigh 165). The Sol comes in 135 and 141, so which would be better for me? Also, is the Sol a good board for a beginner?

Thanks guys!

MatrixCubed, personally I dont think a few centimeters either way is going to make that big of a difference especially being a new rider. I would buy the 141 simply because it will be easier to pop off of the wake with a bigger board. Also if you ride with friends they may want to ride your board and bigger board will accomdate a broader range of people. Good luck, why did you settle on the Sol?

I've heard from a lot of people that the Sol is a great board to start off with, and its in my price range (approx. $250 boots/bindings). If you can think of a better board, I'm listenin'

MatrixCubed, The sol is a great board and if you can pick it up for 250 with decent bindings then I would go for that board as well. I have ridden a sol and found it was hard to break loose for surface tricks but to loose while riding finless. It was my friends board so I only rode it once I guess with some practice I would have gotten used to it. I started with a POS Hydroslide, so when I bought an O'Brien Ambush I thought I was king! Now I ride a Blindside Assassin, it has great pop and is very forgiving on landings. Good luck with your selection

CWB Zues Hinge Tech bindings would be my recommendation for bindings just for the simple fact of how comfortable they are plus they are super easy to get on
