|

Today when we were out, my friend got my Cannon ES8200 Camcorder wet. it was only a few drops. it's not like he dropped it in the water. then we made sure it still worked and it did. then when we got home, it wouldn't work at all. it won't even charge. has this happened to anyone else????? Do u think it's dead???????? Could the water have like shorted out the camera or something??????? help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once before i got it wet and the same thing happened (it wouldn't charge or do anything) then the next day it worked. i don't know what is inside the camera?????? _________________ My videos- www.wakepics.com/member/GhettoLake4

not sure how true this is but here you go:
I was once told that if I got my cell phone wet to turn it off and not use it for a couple of days, this time is to let the water evaporate out of it. I think that if water gets on the circuit board and there is electric curent flying through it then you will short something out. I am not an electronics buff, but it seems to make sense to me |

If it's anything like my old watch, just leave it turned off, with the battery removed(if you can) and let it sit for a day to let the water evaporate. |

let it sit in a dry room and see if it gets better. thats the only thing you can do. unless you bought it used then return it and complain about it not working anymore...heh
electric drills are different than camcorders cuz there's no electronics in the drills, only small pieces of machinery. and i really wanna know why you are using a corded drill around water....thats just retarded |

That's why you guard your camera with your life. Or just get a housing and leave it in there all the time.
