Dip_Krew,
That thing is looking supertight. How much did you pay for that in the first place? I like it alot.

the entire boat cost me $500 canadian with the trailer, motor, fish finder, all the life jackets ores winter cover, pretty much turn key. and it also came with a trolling motor which im selling, (i should get my money back for the boat)

so far ive replaced the CD box on the motor with an MSD ignition, stripped the interior, and now ive painted it, the MSD set up ran about 350 and to paint the boat cost me about 100 bucks, being the advantage i had all the materials already

Dip_Krew,
your doing a nice job on that. I would like to do that with an older inboard/outboard. you got a deal on that boat also. Are you painting the motor cover blue too?

i wanted to however i ran out of blue paint so im going to spray some silver flames on it Very Happy then paint the bottom half of the motor white as well

i was really looking for an inboard outboard, but seings how this was my first boat and the price was right i took it. i can always sell it and probally make a few bucks towards an inboard

Dip_Krew,
Yea, I would be that would be a total profit on that boat. I would guess when fully redone you could get upwards of 4000 US $ for it.

tommorow im finnishing pulling all the attachments on, horn, lights ect... then going to put all new wire in cause the stuff is like 40 years old!

going to hopefully lay down the carpet and start the interior this weekend weather permiting
also i need to get the new axles for the tailer, there not expensive, just a hassle to change them Sad then im going to add some side steps on the trailer so i can walk along it and those poles that keep the boat lines up on the trailer (not sure what there called)

also i need to build the swim platform as well and install the tower feet

man i got a lot of work ahead of me still!

Swim platform???? it's an outboard. You could add a diving board to the tower though. Smile

yeah im putting 2 small swim platforms on either side of the motor, its next to impossible to get into the boat if your in the water cause it sit's high espicially if you got a wakeboard strapped to your feet, so a small flatform to rest your ass on and step up to on the boat is a nice idea Smile

You don't think it would be easier to buy an aftermarket ladder?

yeah i could buy a ladder, but i want to sit at the water level dip my feet in and put my board on, like a swim platform, plus when im lounging on the water i may choose to put a folding chair on the deck with my feet in the water Smile oh and beers in hand too Smile

Dip_Krew, you may want to check this out for the outdrive. I'm sure if you "DIY-ed" something like that but longer it, it would work great with the leg.
