FACT #1: 250lbs, 6'3", size 14-15 shoes.

I'm trying to decide between wakeboarding or wakeskating. I don't think i have the money to put into both of them, and I just want to have some fun this summer in addition to the surfing I already do. I usually go with a friend of mine on his boat, he wakeboards, and will be getting a new one this year, he said i could have his old one and just put the right size bindings on his board (CWB 141 or 143). The main thing is, I don't really know what size gear to get, and I don't know if anyone even sells wakeskate shoes in a size 14 or 15. I did locate some big boy bindings but I'm not sure who would have the best big and tall selection for me, or if this is someting I should even get into, because of my size. If possible, tell me what length/brand boards I should look into, if you think my size won't limit my fun in this sport.

Size wont limit you my bro outweighs you by 50 lbs. He as the same problem with fitting in bindings. He ended up buying the Obrien Ions. He called O'Brien and they had a toe extension piece that attaches to the binding, quite a bit of his foot is out of the binding but he can ride pretty well. I will try to find a part number for that piece

Yeah my brother also weighs more than you and he just bought a nice new setup. Hyperlite State 145 with Era bindings. I think most any board 142+ would be fine for you. If you want a little extra length to be safe I'd look at the 145 state or 147 era boards from Hyperlite. most 142/143 size boards I've seen have recommended rider weights up to 250+, check out the manufacturers site to see what they advise. or I think www.wakeworld.com lists weight ranges for most boards.
