mr.bubbles, as for your pole look into last year's LF models. Personally, I don't like O'Brien.

Dude, you don't need overpriced hard to get Binding lube. Go get either some old style shaving cream or my personal favorite Suave Shampoo/conditioner. Its 99 cents and it does just as good of a job. And I know someone is going to jump on me and say "thats not as enviromentally safe as blah blah lube" but I know that you guys are pissing in the water so I don't even wanna hear it.

mr.bubbles, I find that Lava works the best with getting in my bindings. I used conditioner but it would keep the binding really slick while riding and my feet would pop out super easy if I fell. The bindings didn't feel secure with conditioner.

Lava isn't the only brand- I would reccomend purchasing some online at http://www.buywake.com/catalog/index.lasso?cat=20 .

ill tell you all right now, moose juice is the way to go. besides, soap will slowly but surely wreck your bindings. moose juice dissolves when it hits the water so no worries about slidin out.

yeah, exactly "slowly but surely" like in five years it will deteriate your bindings. If your bindings are still in-tact properly in five years then you deserve an award, that is if you ride as much as I do.

Shampoo or shaving cream is the way to go. Don't gob it on, just put a little squirt in the bindings rub it in and then lather your feet up just a bit and "SLIP" it in. works hella good and is cheap and easy.

I got the binding lube for 10bucks from ebay, a big 128oz bottle. Great deal, the lube works well and its biodegradable.

if your saying you slip out of the binding using soap and such, when u put ur bindings on, hang over the edge of the boat and swish your board around with ur feet and wash away all the soap/ shampoo

PS: what does it matter, you shouldnt be fallin anyway!! Laughing

Some lubes work much better than others, but shaving cream is by far the best. Although a lot of LF's high end bindings don't even need any kind of lube to get into.

mr.bubbles,

Let me guess? Mr Bubbles started a lube company. What a clever way to get your product introduced!

Buy a wakeskate and you will never need lube again.

In the event that this is legit, which I find not to real. MR BUBBLES. Drop some lube into a bucket of water, watch it dissipate, shampoo will linger forever, shaving cream better and real lube will disappear the fastest.

mr.bubbles,

It does not dissipate in the water like other lubes. Once you are in your bindings you do not want to slip out. The residue from shampoo takes time to rinse out completely. I have seen people slip out of their bindings with shampoo.

I would use a shave cream instead. It will dissipate the fastest.

Mr. Bubbles.

i just use shampoo because if you fall hard you can still slip out of your bindings and when the shampoo lingers you dont have to get back into the boat to put your board back on

Any form of soap sucks. Soap/Shampoo/Conditioner stays in your binding, on your feet and makes you come out easier too. An actual binding lube will completely wash away after a few seconds in the water. Also some soaps, specifically dish soap will damage the binding over time. Either use an actual binding lube or learn how to put your bindings on right so you don't need anything.

intotheflats,

I skate mainly, but other than a traditional binding lube, what is the right way to do it?

I am being serious too.

Wakemaster_17,

I dont really need bindings to stay on my board. I prefer something called a skate? Every heard?

But you are very astute.
