I saw the Watson (in person) for the first time today. I was at my local board shop and the Watson I picked up had scratches all over the top of the board on the black surface. It looked like a dog tried to dig a hole right through it. I was tempted to try and scratch it with my fingernail but the guy was standing there right by me. It looks like you could easily write your name or something in the top of the board with you fingernail. Just wondering if the scratches rub out or no.

Heck, see if they'll sell ya that one at a big discount. I haven't noticed any significant marks on friends Watson's boards.

I haven't noticed any problems with them scratching. In fact, I think they show marks less than the typical glossy top. Your shop must be abusing their poor boards.

LoudonTN, maybe they would. Im not really lookin to buy one...i dont think it would ride very well with my boat setup.

Craig-R, so its not an easy board to scratch? If not, im pretty disappointed in that shop. I also saw a couple PS3s with marks on them from having boards stacked on them. Nothing that would hurt the performance, but nobody wants to spend that amount of money on a board that isnt in perfect shape.

Thats kinda how my shop is. The only selller of wakeboards within an hour of me is an aqua east. I was gonna go there to buy a 2005 murray but all of there boards are scratched from there bo bo home made board holder. I felt bad for all the white boards cause they had gray streaks on them from the "racks"

Worrying about all those little scratches is stupid. After a couple weeks of riding it's going to be more beat up than that anyway. Don't get me wrong, I want my new stuff to look perfect too but it really is pointless. It's a wakeboard not a piece of art.

x vegan x, i wasnt worrying about the scratches. Im not even interested in that board honestly. I was just wondering if LF put out a board that marks easily. Obviously my local shop did something horrible to it.

You are right, it is stupid to worry about scratches and what not. The first 2 wakeboards I ever bought were blems and if you had seen what im riding now you would know I could care less what my board looks like.
