Hey im just wondering how long should the rope be if you want to jump the wake??

it depends on how good you are if your just learning i would suggest 60' or 65'

it really depends on where the wake is at its best shape and what the rider likes. anywhere from 55' 70' is fine but just put it where you like it.

I had pretty good luck teaching my buddies by putting the rope all the way out at 80', and having them get used to jumping one wake. When they could consistantly make it half way across at 80, I would bring them back in to 60'.
It seems to work pretty well.

Yeah, if you got a wake spec. boat, I would go as far as the rope will go and do what goingbig143 said. If you have I/O I would go to about 60 or 65 and let er' ride. Good Luck

If you want to jump the wake start with the rope short and as you get better slowly lengthen it.

hey im a noob like you but i have relatives that are good and it all depends on how high you can jump first if you cant jump high work on that first then try to but if you want to clear the wake easily put it closer

as said above:
Shorter the rope = the narrower the wake (easier to clear wake 2 wake jumps)

Longer the rope = wider the wake ( more speed and pop needed to clear w2w jumps)
