Ok i heard that you can be pulled by a seadoo or seadoo boat (bigger then a normal seadoo) But people have also told me that seadoos shoudn't pull wakeboarers because your going to aventually blow you engine. But what about seadoo boats, there alot bigger and more powerfull the a normal seadoo and im pretty sure you can now buy towers and water bags for seadoo boats im just trying to make sure i have this all right because i dont have the money for a boat and for a couple of grand buying a seadoo boat that brakes on me because im wrong and they shoudn't pulll wakeboarders would really suck.
Hope you can all help _________________ Im the Sharpest wakeboarder ever

--Sharp--, A seadoo, or any jetski for that matter shouldn't break when pulling a rider...Who told you this? They're made for performance, and for you to push them to the limits. If anything, Id say that pulling someone is easier on it then riding around goin off and on with the throttle doin donuts. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

| NO NO NO! If seadoos were ment to wakeboard they would be called a wakedoo. Save your money and get yourself an older inboard or atleast an I/O. Do a search if my .02 don't convence you. |

Ok.... I must be getting Sea-Do's and your typical jetski (yamaha, honda, etc)confused with eachother...Are they not the same thing??? A jet-powered PWC? _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

i dunno just people that have exspirience in these things like my friend louis who is a wakeboarding instructor told me this. He said that a seadoo isn't meant for pulling the weight of a person pehind it and after a while youll ruin the motor. i dont know if this is true or not thats why im asking _________________ Im the Sharpest wakeboarder ever

That just doesnt seem to make sense. Its a jet-boat. Water gets sucked in, water is shot out. The more throttle you give it, and faster it takes water in and pushes it out. The fact that its pulling someone behind it shouldnt cause there to be any negative force moving against the engine, the same amount of water is going to be shot out of the thing, the PWC just wont go anywhere because of a force (you) thats pulling it back. So, giving it more throttle to pull someone would just be like someone running it full speed, or really fast all the time, which isnt necissarily bad for it. Im just not seeing how pulling a rider can cause your engine to blow up, or break, or whatever. Plus, if theres a towpoint on it you're supposed to use it. And usually it'll say the maximum weight it can handle... _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

--Sharp--, I dont want to be responsible for you bustin up your engine of course, but I have never heard anything about this, and a TON of people are pulled behind PWC's without a problem. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

| I didn't say you couldn't get pulled behind one, my bad. Either way I still don't recommend one. |

I have only ridden behind my waverunner, its really a lot easier on it to me, it doesnt see over 4k, where as when im riding hard its at 7k the whole time almost. RPM is a proven killer.... just dont expect any spectacular wake. This is the reason why im getting a boat _________________ http://www.myspace.com/wannabess

I own the 2005 SeaDoo GTX limited edition jetski called the WAKE. The jetski is made for Towing. It comes with 2 racks that mount on the sides to hold your wakeboards or wakeskates, and also comes with an adjustable pylone on the back. Every ad for this PWC says it was specifically made for towing. I love it. Yes it doesnt throw a wake, but for riding the roam, wakeskate, or any other towable its awsome. _________________ 2005 SeaDoo Wake PWC

| As far as the Seadoo PWC i would say if its a 3 seater its made for pulling things. I have Kawasakis and we pull tubes, wakeboards, ect. and nothing has ever happened. I think it would be fine. |

Ya i like it. The 2005 model is black, red, and silver. But everything else pretty much the same. After the extended warranty and taxs it got up to 16,000 so sometimes i kinda wish i woulda just went and got a boat. But hey i am saving a ton on gas and stuff since my buddy owns a boat. So i get best of both worlds.

| Wakeskaters get pulled on Sea Doos and other PWCs every day just fine. Not the best idea for wakeboarding though considering the fact that the wake is practically non existent. |

Seadon't
You can find them used cheap, the engines (there are two) are good for only a couple hundred hours, less if you suck in a walmart bag. There is twice as much stuff to break on a boat like that, it has two jetski engines. They are basically throwaway.
Just cause it has a tower and a ballast doesn't mean it is a wakeboard boat. They can't hold speed, they don't track when you cut out, they have a huge roostertail and they have a crappy wake.
For those bucks, or actually a lot less if you go used, you can buy a boat that is a good wakeboard boat. I'd rather have an old 2001 for 10k than one of those brand new. _________________ Silver Skurfer |
