Hello everyone.
first off im just getting into the sport. ive never been wakeboarding but for my birthday present i decided to get a wakeboard.

i joined this site so i could get an unbiased opinion for a good board for me. i am 5' 8" and around 140 pounds. i have been snowboarding for a few years. i dunno if that would affect anything. i just felt liek adding it.

i dont want a full on beginner board because il probably be using it for a few years and i dont want to have to buy a new board or anything when i get a little bit better.

ive gotten some suggestions from a few friends but between you and me, i dunno how well i can trust their judgement. haha.

well ive been looking at CWB, Hyperlite, and Liquid Force. but i want a good light board for hopefully under $350. thats not including bindings.
and i will probably be ordering one from the internet. because there isnt a big choice in retailers around here.

i probably wont be doing many rails at all. so i want a board that i can use primarily for launching off wake.

also should i look for a wet suit? i will probably be riding in spring and fall for the most part because im away during the summer. so what should i look for in those.

also il probably be joining a local waterskiing/ wakeboarding club on the niagara river so i will be using their boat and getting lessons from them.

thanks for the help in advance.

I have heard the LF Omega is a solid ride for wide range of skill levels, I think it would suit you well for learning all the way up to the advanced stuff.

Why go low end when you could get one of these deals:
http://evogear.com/outlet_results.aspx?&bni=1437&mfgi=0&avpl=0&avsz=0&avsl=0&OR=1&PG=2
or
http://www.buywake.com/catalog/closeouts.lasso?area=wakeboards

You can get just about any board you want for under $350, so long as you don't want this year's model. I'd go with a 136-138 probably. Pick one that looks cool to you. There is no way to know without demoing which board is best for you, and even then you'd change your mind in a year. Pretty much any board is good for some people. Some will like it, some won't. Besides, if you buy a pro model board, you'll be able to get more for it when you sell it next year.
