I am 6'1" 180lbs and not sure what size I should start on with. I snowboard a lot and ride anywhere from 155 to 159. Not too big and not too small. Will I be able to tell the difference between a 138 and a 142?

Thanks

Another question, what kind of wake should I expect behind an X-30 (2006)? Boat is currently being made and wont be ready for 8-10 weeks. So I am trying to get a handle of what to expect when I get out there.

I have wakeboarded behind a waverunner and a ski boat in choppy ass water. Never had a tower or proper wake boat to ride behind.

I am about the same, around 6'2" 180lbs. I would personally recommend the 142, I'm on a 138 right now and plan on getting me a 140+ board this spring. They seem to feel better to me, and might offer you some softer landings with a larger board. Good for beginners I'd imagine. But you should have no problem riding on a 138, I'd advise demoing the 2 sizes if possible see what you prefer.

For your wife, I would say 134. Her height might require the larger board. She might also want to demo a 128 but I think the 134 would be a great start.
