Hi, I'm Graham. I'm new to this site and wakeboarding and have a very dumb question.
Any tips on bunny hopping? My board seems glued to the water whenever I try it.
One more question:
http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail.lasso?cat=3&man=Hyperlite&sku=HY_5w8yG
what do you think of those bindings? im so sick of my sandal bindings on my board. |

lose the sandal bindings asap! what speed are you riding at? this could be why you aren't getting any pop. As for the HL bindings I have the splits which are similar and I have never had any problems with them, they are good quality for the price. To bunny hop/ollie simulatneously push down with your back foot and pull up with your front. Then level up your back leg to your front and bend your knees to absorb the landing Welcome to the site! _________________ There's nothing like a good old faceplant to wake you up in the morning! |

Slow it down to about 21 or so and see how you like it. Typical riding speeds vary from around 18 to 23 MPH.
Here are the "steps" of a typical ollie.
1. load up by pushing your back leg down into the water as much as possible.
2. Pull up your from leg towards your chest. LIke you are trying to lift your leg to kick something infront of you.
3. let the back leg follow.
4. by "leveling your back leg to your front" you basically just kinda get in a semi-squat position while in the air. Basically keep some good flex in your knees. _________________ Holly Bay All The Way! |

Oh yeah, I mean to comment on the spins. I had them when I started. They were of course a different/older style but they were great bindings. I ended up tearing the tongue so I chucked them on an old board that I ride finless for acting stupid on. Still though they are great bindings for someone looking to get into the game. _________________ Holly Bay All The Way! |

buy a skateboard and practice on a flat surface its similar ona wakeboard but your feet are attached to the board maybe lose your heavy ass wakeboard
u do mean a bunny hop like an ollie right ??? (on the flats outside the wake?)
not a pop which is different and off the wake to get air _________________ In the water is where u will find me when i'm not working to earn money to pay to get out on the water |

iplayguitar301, if u ride at a normal speed 18-21 u should be fine for ollies...one thing that worked well for me is i was previously a pretty good skateboarder (consistent over 6 decks for ollies) when u want to ollie give the board a quick push down first(little harder on ur back foot so u don't submarine) n let the water act as a little trampoline...then when u pop pull up front foot first then back to level out..if u pull up both at the same time the boards gonna suck to the water and wont release right...just push n pop _________________ Smile at the hotties on the boat...Huck ur new trick...Nail it and they'll think ur Wicked..and even if u bail they can soothe u afterwards:D...
