ive been riding all last summer and rode with one fin on the tail side of my board, the board came with 2, should i put both of them on? do i need the fins?

teggsr925, Beginners should usually start with both fins in to learn control and carving, and gradually progress to smaller and smaller fins, eventually taking them both out, if the board you're riding has molded in side fins.

Exceptions: Anything with bolt-on side fins. These are simply a matter of choice of what feel you want from the board.

Ctipping, fins are something that people either like or they dont like. On certain boards, I think fins help them, and on certain boards, they hurt them.

teggsr925, if you are looking to hit sliders, you will want to take them off. Just try riding with them out, or in, and wee which you like better. One thing riding finless will do is teach you to edge the proper way.

Yes. The higher part of the fin should be twords the tip of the board on the end it is on.
