|
|
Just got the 2006 Accurate A-line to replace my old line. I have the 2005 Accurate Parks Handle and i dont want to buy a new handle. I was just wondering...since it seems almost impossible to me, if anyone knows of a method to seperate the handle line from my old line without making any sorts of cuts to the mainline...Thanks in advance for your input! _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body! |

if you can grab the loop with both hands, pull it apart. You should lose a little bit of tension on the knot which should allow you to get it out. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

Use soap, a screw driver, and needle nose pliers. _________________ "I'm not a professional wakeboarder, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night". |

Thanks for the input guys and Nauty, ill try your idea. I have a 80 ft Mainline and then the Parks handle which comes with the 5 ft. Line. When i joined the lines together i just "looped Tied" them, you know how you do with rubberbands to make a chain...i didnt tie any knots, but after all the riding 'joint' where they join together is incredibly tight due to all the tension build up. I just dont want to sacrifice my old line and cut it...ill still use it for the tramp or when i ride on other boats without a wake line...Any other imput will be greatly appreciated. _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body! |

Spicy,
I know exactly what you are talking about. I too just bought a new line and had the same problem in getting my handle off of my old line. I used liquid soap to lubricate the knot and then just worked it by pushing the two ends together. After a minute or so you should be able to loosen it enough to slide a small phillips head in there to break it apart. You may need needle nose pliers as well. This should do the trick without damaging your rope.

| or put the knot on a piece of 2x4 or smooth surface and put a piece of cloth over the knot, then hit it a few times with a hammer, I don't understand why this works but it does. It's gotten out a few very stubborn knots for me. |

Thanks for all your input guys, you helped me save my line! I used soap, needle nose pliers and an ice pick and it came out in minutes! _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body! |
