I hear it's a transcend that isn't slow. SO you get amazing pop from the 3.3" rocker, but keeps speed. Sounds like the best of both worlds.. It aint cheap though. _________________ I had ribs for lunch. |

| It's lighter than the non plat version. If you're going to be hitting rails I'd say to not got with it. Andrew broke one doing a whirly off of a kicker at O Dub. Otherwise the Plat is a great board. If you're not in a hurry to get the board you may want to wait a few months. CWB is going to do a mid season release of the '06.5 Transcend. It's a new design from what Andrew told me, but couldn't go into details about it yet...must be H14 Classified. You can't go wrong with the Zeus. They are the simply awesome bindings. Everyone who's ridden in mine love them. |

| bradmo42, holding it yes, riding it, probably not unless youre doing some serious stuff. you can tell a difference in pop tho. the platinum is a little stiffer so it pushes back harder going up the wake. |

My advice is to demo them first, as you would any other wakething if at all possible. I demoed the Zeus last weekend and absolutely hated them, and so did 2 other guys on the boat with me. Only negative things I've heard so far; everyone else seems to love them, but for me...well, I'm just glad I didn't buy them w/o trying them first like I almost did. |

im going to be doing serious stuff this time around. sliders just dont interest me right now, maybe later. i got real serious in wakeboarding when i was 15 but dropped it all to play football and play in college. i just recently decided to not play in college so its back to wakeboarding. its more of an enjoyable sport for me.
where do yall think will demo right now? ive never demo'd a board before _________________ 06 Supra 24ssv Gravity Games

bradmo42, Go to M2 in Houston and I think Houston Ski and board has a demo program. If you want to ride an 142 05 Transcend all you have to do is shoot me a PM and take me out on that nice boat of yours _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

For MY feet, they had several pressure points that made them so uncomfortable I couldn't ride them for more than a few minutes. Unfortunately, they were all I had brought with me on the boat, so I had to ride them all day. The achilles pad ended up giving me a HUGE bruise on my left ankle and my feet were clausterphobic all day. They were tight, but still didn't hold me in - I'd slip half way out in a big spill and my foot would be stuck in a living hell.
Getting in them with the hinge was a nightmare instead of a delight like I expected. And to make matters worse, I pinched my hand in the hinge once - not cool when it's 50 degrees out!
I agree, everyone else has loved them, but just thinking about them makes my feet hurt. That's not even to mention the insanely tight strap across the front of my feet, since I know that can be adjusted and/or broken in. Everyone has different feet, so that's why I advise people to demo. Some will love them, some can find a better boot for their feet.
I'll probably try the 06 Transits this weekend, as they have them at my local shop. |
