first time, I got up first try jumping from a dock, did a toeside w2w, a mobe, a raley, a tantrum, a flerp, a cap'n kirk, did a couple railslides, caught a fish, hit a natural log ramp and got 10 feet of air, did a 360 tail grab, landed it, did a reverse ollie back onto the dock right next to the barbecue, and stuck the fish on it.

Of course I had snowboarded before, so no big deal.

Faceplanted, swallowed about half the lake, then got up. It was fun though.

Began in deep start. The second I got up I cut outside the wake.

180° over one side, rode switch for a while before eating it.

Did a nice butterslide.

We don't have a tower yet either.

wow.... u all make me mad.....

i had NO clue about wakeboarding in general when i started.

my dad had no clue how fast to start the boat in the water, i had no clue how to lay/face/put my board/hold the handle/put my legs.....

lets just say im pretty sure it took me over 50 tries to get up, but it was worth it
well i guess u can say it was good i didnt drown

4th try got up 10 sec SPLASH... Got up again... better this time my arms were only 1-2 in. longer... stayed up 30 sec or so. By the end of the second day i was crossing both wakes. Working on surface 180's, butter slides, ollies and edging into the wake harder TS and HS. I'm the only one that I board with that can cross the wake TS. Laughing Did a BEAUTIFUL surface 90 faceplant on my second weekend out and in rough seas. The friggin Lake was like moguls this weekend.

The actual 1st time I tried, I didn't even get up.

I just got my boat, my wife never drove a boat, Neither one of us ever wakeboarded before, But I did ski about 15 years ago. So basicly I was having her throw down on the throttle and beat the $hit outta me for half the day. Oh yeah and the time she didn't take the slack out of the rope and I was thinking about why I couldn't get up, that was great fun. Laughing

the first day i tryed i was out with a bunch of hot guys and i new i couldn't make a full of my self. Unbelieveably i made it up on my first try. THe guys were so cool about it they were telling me how to ride smooth and how to keepmy balance. after a few minutes of riding i had the hang of it. they stopped the boat and told me to try to get up switch this time and that itwould help me lateron down the rode. so i got up switch the second time. it was very weird but i managed to ride it out. I rode the rest of the day going from swich to regular. The next day i did the same but i addedon ollie's and board slide's out in the flats. I tryed some lip slides but did a major face plant that pilled my eye lids inside out. But anyways riding switch the first day i got up really helpedme now to this day i have been rding for 3 solid months now and you can't tell the difference from when im riding switch or reguar its made more difficult tricks easier for me. i now have w-w t/s and h/s, half-cab w-w, t/s h/s 180's w-w, and many other tricks.

Got up second try, and managed to do a little carving. After a few falls, I attempted the w2w and just bit it hard after casing. My dad got a good laugh out of that Razz

New nothing about wakeboarding, found some website with drawings of how to get up. Got up on 5th try, got 5 inches of air form the inside to the outside of the Rt side wake and stayed up, thought that I was the S#&T. Mr. Green

My first day, three tries, a nose full of lake, major head ache, gave up.

Ditto the second, third and fourth days of trying.

Went out and had someone other than my husband drive, up on second try. I can not really say I ride yet, but I can get up. I am still working of the balance, and control of it all. Of course, it is winter and the only boat time I get is when I go visit the damn thing in storage.

I had NO experience with boarding of any kind. I had skied a bit in my youth. My husband is used to towing tourney skiers and I think that had something to do with it.

First time i was out riding i got a major amount of lake water intake. Was able to get up on the second day out at the lake but my arms and shoulders were so sore i wasn't even able to hold onto the rope anymore and had to call it quits before i was able to do anything more.

I also had no one teaching me -- I learned on some old connelly with sandal bindings...the best thing I did was not to face plant to much...I still haven't progressed too far as I am old --I'm 103-- but i love to ride.

You are 103? Confused
