THE LADY JUST GOT ME A NEW BOARD FOR CHRISTMAS. IT HAS HOLES FOR 6 FINS? THAT LAST BOARD I RODE WAS A 1990 CONNELY, YEAH ONE OF THE FIRST ONES MADE. SO THE QUESTION IS HOW MANY FINS DO YOU USE ON THESE NEW BOARDS?

IT IS A BODY GLOVE BOARD, YELLOW AND WHITE, I DON'T KNOW THE LENGTH OR WIDTH, OR MODEL NUMBER. IT IS A 2006 BOARD THOUGH. THE ODD THING IS THAT ON THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE BOARD THERE ARE THREE DRILL HOLES, THE BOARD ALSO CAME WITH 6 FINS, 4 SMALL ONES AND 2 LARGER SIZE. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT IT WOULD BE 2 SMALL AND 1 LARGE ON EACH END OF THE BOARD? ANY THOUGHTS?

Yea I had a LF Trip with 6 fins. I liked the hold but it was hard to break it loose for surface. Lots of people take out the center and leave the outer 2. I dont like that feel so I would take out the outside and only use the inside big ones. Whatever you like though.

SO DOES THAT MAKE IT HARD TO DO 180'S ON THE SURFACE?

boike, YES...WITH ALL SIX FINS IN, BUT IF YOU TAKE THEM OUT IT MAKES IT EASY...WITH ONLY 2 OR MAYBE 4 FINS IN IT WOULD BE DOABLE BUT WITH ALL SIX IT GETS VERY CHALLENGING.
