I would say Supra, then mailbu, then MC.
You do understand that's like asking me.... blonde, brunette, redhead? |

| IMO, X-30. I like to use my boats, not look bling. Yes, some may think that sounds totally backwards, however the MC's lack of carpet, simplistic aesthetics, use of interior metals in place of plastics, practical/bulletproof/raw towers and boardracks, cow-hide vinyl, etc etc etc. |

I've ridden the '06 X-30 with stock ballast and people and honestly feel it doesn't come close to the size, shape or versatility of the 24SSV wake.
Styling is more of a personal preference, I like Supra's styling, but then again...I'm a little biased to their product. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

I can't comment on the Other Brands since I haven't ridden behind them but I did get an opportunity to ride the Supra 24ssv and was impressed.
With Factory Ballast and I think 4 guys, the boat had a great wake and needless to say abundant storage.
For the price and size I would definitely consider that boat. |

Hollowman since you are in Houston, do you know about GCWA ? Anyway I am a Supra fan also. Between the two dealers in Houston (Supra or Malibu) I also choose Supra. Smaller family owned dealership that takes real good care of their customers, which I am one.
If I were you, I would get on www.gcwa.com and pose the same question. Lots of local riders and plenty of opinions.

I'd have to say after seeing the 24SSV it was my favorite boat layout in the 23-24 foot class. The new X-30 had some nice touches as well, the BU IMO needs a couple of upgrades for the interior to keep pace (Haven't seen the 06 Bu though).
Why do you need such a big boat though? Price of crude is 60 bucks right now. Next Summer there's a really good chance that unleaded will be higher than it was during this previous summer (over 3 bucks). At $200 bucks per fill which lasts a day, maybe two days I wonder if the bigger is better will be thrown out the window for the traditional 20-21 foot wakeboard boats? Just something to think about when you're buying a 24 foot 380hp pig on the water... |

| Man honestly i didnt want a big boat i was really pushin for an 04 xstar with like some low hours, but we just got a new lakehouse, and my parents said they wanted a bigger boat so we could take a bunch of people out and do the whole tie up thing during labor day and such, they were leanin towards a cobalt 26 but i said no way and compromised with them for a big wake boat. |

I demo'd all 3 of those boats (plus the SANTE 226 and Tige 24v). We ended up going with the Bu 23 LSV. Best balance of performance/quality/wake. The X30 handling/accelertion was pretty terrible. All of the other boats we demo'd were in a whole other class. The x30 wake also didnt compare to the rest of the boats either (cept maybe the 24v tige.) I did like the interior look of the MC though best and also liked the tower. The supra was pretty nice also.. just didnt like the soft tanks and the seating layout and i dont know just wasnt feeling it as much as the Bu. The 23 LSV has been a sweet boat so far. Only thing is it always seems like i cant get it clean enough. The wake is awesome.. never crumbles and very solid. Even sacked out it still gets out of the hole very quickly. Interior is comfy and the illusion x tower is sweet. Also.. if your thinking of the x30 you might as well go with an 04/05 xstar. The Xstar has a huge bow and fits lots of people and has way more storage.. it feels roomier than the x30 IMO. (plus a better wake).
Also i do agree with bambaski about the boat companies keeping pace interior wise.. I think supra and malibu are on par but mastercraft seems to have way cooler interiors. However, The seats in both supra and malibu boats are a lot more comfy. Durability wise i would imagine the mastercrafts will hold up longer being that the seats arent soft.. |

it's your money or your parents money so what ever they want to do or buy. I'm just saying for me, buying a wakeboard boat to tie up for one or two days per year sounds, well, retarded? Maybe that's too harsh? It doesn't matter who argues the point, nobody will ever convince me that a 23-24 foot 100 inch wide boat makes a better wake for boarding or handles like a 20-21 foot boat. They have wide, rampy wakes that don't do anything for me anymore. I'll take a SAN or old X-star with the lack of room and storage any day of the week over the big boats. IMO, boat makers sold out, they can make more money selling the bigger boats and there is a definite compromise on what happens 70-80 feet back which is more important than fitting another two people on my boat. It's all about their marketing. Is the X-star MC's best wakeboard boat? I say no way, however that's what MC markets because guess what, they make more money selling a 75k boat than a 50k boat. Just my opinion. |

| I think he said they just got a lake house?? Pretty sure if i had a lakehouse i would be there more than 2 days a year. As for bigger boats not being as good for wakeboarding... I disagree. Our boat is the only 23 footer ive ridden behind and i prefer it over the 4 other boats i rode on over the summer(All 20-21 footers). Its all preference. As for the wake being wider.. maybe a little dont really notice it too much.. more than half the time we're landing past it anyways.. As for the people sitting in the boat.. even with only 5-6 people its way more comfy than being in a SANTE 210 or something. And its conveniant for those times when you have lets say 8 to 10 people on the boat. Also a lot more room to sack out the boat if needed and equipment and what ever. Its all part of the overall experience. Anyways just my two cents... |

X30 Overpriced, wake not as good Nice interior don't like the wakethru. Plains terrible hard to weight down.
LSV , nice wake for sking for a 23 and has a good wakeboard wake, underfloor ballast thus better storage than ssv, takes longer to plain out than ssv.
24SSV. Best price decent storage. rear facing seats if your into that. plains good. good wake. Poorer ski wake than LSV. A litte less creature comforts than LSV or x30 |

| I have been in all 3 a good amount and am in the process of ordering a bu. When I first looked I thought the X30 was awesome, but then once I got to spend some time in my dealers demo I saw that the seats showed a ton of wear (suprised me) and also the wake was just not near the other 2. The supra throws a really nice wake with the gravity games sacks and the rear seats were cool. What I didn't like about it was it had a TON of bow rise and there was a good amount of time you could not see. Also, it did not turn the best (better than the mastercraft, not as good as the bu). The bu's wake seemed more adjustable and also had a better ski wake. All in all it and the supra are very similar wake wise. Also a lot of the materials looked very similar. I hated the soft sacks in the supra as they would actually pop up the bow seat and some of the rear seats and also the racks on the boat i was on would not swivel (dealer said dirt got in them and jammed them). I just thought the bu showed a little better fit and finish (staples under the seats, corners on vinyl, dash quality) and performed a little better. Honestly I am sure I would be happy with either the supra or the bu as they are both awesome, it just came down to personal preference. Aside from my dealers demos I rode with Gerry Nunn and Dave Briscoe who have a 23 bu and 24 supra respectively. This showed me how the boats worked with a lot of people and how they used them, but also those boats were run a ton and had tons of people in and out of them so you could really see where they wore. |

I'm in the market for a new wakeboard boat as well. I have an 03 malibu now and I was pretty sure that I was going that way again. I like the Malibu LSV alot. A bunch of them are on our lake and get to ride in them often. A real nice wake and a solid boat. I also looked at the 06 x30. IMO a much nicer looking boat both in and out. The dash on this boat is awesome, a sweet tower, snap out carpet (cant do this on a bu because of the construction process). Then we went out for a test drive. For surfing, this wake was great and the wakeboard wake was very nice. On the downside, there was much more bow rise on the X30 and I did not care for that. I was really disapointed because I loved the boat in every other way. I have to be honest I have not been in the Supra so I can't coment with any credibility, but I'm sure its a nice boat. So what have I decided to buy? ....06 Xstar |
