I have ridden for about a year but never had my own board. Tonight at a local sale I picked up a HL 3DS 143 and Era Bindings. Got them together for $400 brand new. '05 model line. I am 6'1" and 210 lbs. THanks guys.

UncleSam, you can never go wrong with HL. Atleast you can still look cool if you suck it up. As for price, thats about average.

UncleSam, sweet first setup! I remember my first... a (dare I say) Neptune Blur Embarassed with Jobe bindings. Actually the bindings weren't bad but the board weighed 79 lbs.

Mr. Top Hat, you totally read me wrong my good man... Would it be to bold of me to proclaim that Hyperlite is the best board on the market? I mean, I already knew it increased penis size ten fold... Thats common knowledge. I still stand by my orignial post, in or out of context... Dude, Hyperlite is the shiz, and those who say otherwise should be sent to Texas and be hit in the head with a stick until they too realize there is no other board companies out there. Super sweet setup tax collector.

thanks guys. I tried my bindings on today again in the bath tub and felt a different pressure point then what I felt the other day. Do the bindings break in with a little use and mabye the rubber stretches a little? These were brand new out of the box where I think the others were not...

Tax Collector, why of course they break in, they are Hyperlites. Hyperlites break in the best in my opinion out of all other bindings. What you may want to do, is stick a shaving cream bottle, jar, or something of similiar structure of your ankle into the binding for a while, and soak them in warm water. You may also look into some nute juice to use to get in the bindings with. Call Hyperlite, and find out from them first hand on what exactly they reccomend.

Their number is: 425-885-3505 Ask for John and see what he says.

jmm769, Well, he already said he bought them..so good advice!
It's great that YOU have never SEEN a good pair.

To me, bindings are very individual, and what you may not like, might work just fine for others.

Also, I am curious, what makes LF "like 10 times better. " ?

haha, well its funny this came up becuase yesterday I went in and returned my Eras and got some 06 transits for a amazing deal. they are very comfortable I just need to figure out if I should go up to the xxl. I am kinf of in an inbetween size... do you know if the transits or LF bindings stretch out or break in well? After about 2 or 3 minutes my feet begin to hurn and my toes and on the very edge and barely hang over.
