I have a new o'brien life vest that I have only used for tubing. It is about 3/4 in thick and a little hard to move in. I was wondering if a this would affect me and if there are any vests that might help me learn easier; thanks.

It should work fine. I learned on an old bulky life vest that we used to use tubing. When you get better though you can buy better vests that are easier to move in but for now i think the O'Brien vest should be fine
