|
|
Well I bought a left over 2001 Nelson 141 on 20th Jan last year, on the weekend I broke the front binding off in a unspectacular spill. Anyway took the board to my shop and they sent it back to DoubleUp. Picked up my free 2003 Nelson 142 today. Wow, they are the "Supra" of wakeboard companys. Good work. _________________ Niiiiiiiiice |

Are you saying that it took them nearly a year to get your board back to you? If so, that doesn't sound like good customer service. |

Rode the 03 Nelson for the first time last night, wow it's one slippery beast. Doesn't hold as hard an edge or pop as violently as the 01 but overall it is a much nicer board to ride with much softer landings and a much looser feel. I'm sure after a few runs I'll get the technique of laying a harder edge. _________________ Niiiiiiiiice |

Ralph:
I have the 03' 138. I love it!
The first couple rides, I thought the same as you. The board has a small sweet spot. Once you find out where to lay your weight, the board really comes to life. Keep on it, you'll see what I mean. |

DoubleupChic, agreed.
I ripped an insert out a couple summers ago and they had no problem replacing it, no questions asked. Always had great experiences with DU! |

Doubleupchic,
You need to stop hatin on me.
I'm not hating on double up, Ralph didn't make it clear how long they took to get him a board. It sounds to me like they took nearly a year. If they did, I'd be a little upset and would expect them to do something extra like sending the 03. If they had a good turnaround time and still sent him an 03 kudos to DU. |
