Hi,

I am interested in the CWB Absolute 2005 135 and 141 boards but cannot make up my mind as to which one would be best for me. I am 5'8 and weigh in at 159 pounds. I cant decide if the 135 will be too small or the 141 too big. The 135 states that the MAX weight is 170lbs and the 141 minimum weight is 150lbs upwards. I will pretty much be the sole rider of this board. But my friends may also ride this board who will vary about 15 pounds in either direction...Im not too worried about what they need, but if there is little difference for me in the sizes, I may choose the one my mates can ride also.

I have been riding around on a 139 Jobe board of a friends.

Any advice or tips in choosing between the two would be greatly appreciated. Also any opinions on the CWB absolute boards would be cool.

I've never ridden an absolute, but for the sizing thing, it's just what you like to ride. I personally like to ride boards that are a little on the short side because I like the feel of them, and there isn't much swing weight, but some people who are shorter than me perfer a really long board. And vica versa. It's just your opinion.

Exactly. I personally prefer a larger board than I am "supposed" to be riding. I'm 5'11" and 151. I ride a 138 and love it. I think the extra surface gives a better feel for me. My best friend is my siz (he may weigh a little less) and he rides a 132 because that's what feels best to him.

instagibb, you still growing? If yes, 141. If no, judgement call.

Ride both if you can.

Nah ive stopped unfortunately. The reason its such a big deal is that I am unable to demo the boards.

I am leaning more towards the 135 but I am as yet still undecided.

Well I would have to say get the 141, simply because since you already ride a 139.. that's 2 cm more.. you won't notice a huge difference in size.

i'd go bigger before shorter. i ride the absolute 134, and i hate it compared to the 141 or whatever size it is. i like the bigger board because it has more surface are to make the landings softer.

I totally agree, it is your own opinion. It sucks not being able to demo (I'm in the same situation). I'm 6' and 130lbs and ride a 131. I'm thinking about going a bit bigger to a 135 or possibly a 137. Like colefooter said 2 cms isn't that much of a difference to what you are currently riding so that would be your best option, without demoing.

I ride an 05 Absolute 141. I am 6'4" 225. I would say go with the 141. the landings are super soft.. it is a wider board than my old board (HL Motive 144).

Due to a manufacturer's defect, i am getting an 06 Absoulte Platinum in exchange for a little more money Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
I must say, I love this board.
