Don't spin off the wake. Ever. All you have to do (it sounds so simple) is pull the handle to one of your hipe, depending on what way you want to spin dictaces which hip. I got "informed" (flamed) on this a few days ago. Pop, Pull, Pass is the general way to do things.

| Anthony Csogor, yep. Just go off the wake normally and pull the handle to your back hip for a frontside spin and to your (behind) your front hip for backside. Frontside is usually easier. It comes naturally although it sounds kinda weird. |

LFADA, I've seen this new craze starting up with people doing there firrst 3's bs. I can't understand it but if it feels more natural, whatever they like.
BTW, that wasn't sarcastic. I'm dead serious.

| ballywho, yea I know. Why would it be? Your right, it seems that a lot more people are learning BS 3s before FS. Seems weird to me. Whatever. |

| my friend i ride with can only do backside 180s and 3's and cant do frontside 3's. I guess it could make sense in that the only difference is the last half of a backside 3 is the easy part.. instead of a frontside 360 where the first half of the trick is the easy part (just a FS 180). Once he actually did the 3 attempting to do just a BS 180... just because once you get the bs 180 its so easy to take it to 3. |

weby, It has been said many times before the # of posts you have does not equal wakeboarding skills. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

| 94 isnt a lot of posts either. btw in other board sport bs spins are easier. the only reason why bs spins are hard in wakeboarding is cuz of the handle pass. imo bs 180s are way easier in the flats. |

| The Headless Chicken, you really think so? As in an ollie 180. You think an ollie BS 180 is easier than an ollie FS 180. Never heard of anyone who thought so. Besides the handle pass you have the blind landing part/ looking backwards when landing. |

| I tried bs 360 b/4 fs 360. bs is harder to spin, but easier to land whereas fs is the other way around. |

its a comprimise i suppose...it took me 2 seasons to start landing hs fs 3's, the handle pass killed me forever. i could do 180s no problem, but 3's were giving me trouble. Then i started trying to do hs bs 180s to mix it up a little. I ended up learning those in a couple weeks, and once i could land those semi-consistantly, i tried a hs bs 3 and stomped it second try.
the thing is, on hs bs 3's, the handle pass is alot easier because you can pass it early, and once you pass it, it'll naturally pull you around. Whereas hs fs 3's, the initiation of the handle pass is what pulls you around, and that takes some good form and muscle.
i've actually found that hs fs 3's are much easier if you grab slob |
