how did it all start??

hey, im had to do a documeentary for school and i chose the topic of wakeskating. if ne one has any info on how the sport started or ne thing else it would help alot.thnx

around 95 or maybe earlier people would chop down wakeboards and put grip on them, and thats basically how it started. byerly did the first 3 shuv in 95. and im not sure when horrell started cassette but that was the first company. thats all i can think of on the top of my head. if you have that wakeboarding mag from 2003 (the 10 year aniversary one) i think that has some stuff in it

if you want you could go all the way back to when they rode surfboards behind boats and that was back when waterskis were just catching on.
